I had a nice room with a good bed.
In the adjoining restaurant I did eat a very good dinner. The breakfast was also good.
Featuring garden views, Ferme "les Flaquettes" in Guînes offers accommodations, a garden, and a shared lounge. Wellness packages is available for guests, along with a steam room.

Lovely accommodation and ideal location for Eurotunnel.
Unfortunately let down by an unpleasant drain smell in the room..

Guines is near Calais but out in delightful countryside.
Guines is near Calais but out in delightful countryside. This Logis has far more faclities in summer - swimming pool, gardens, and much much more. We have never stayed there in summer but you can get all the details on their website. We stay there as it is very handy for Eurotunnel whilst out of Calais. There are several restaurants in Guines. We were very pleased to find this Logis!

Guines was a sad little place that had obviously seen better days. The marketplace was being renovated but the only place we saw to get a drink was a run down bar with a poor old lady still working behind it.
The highlight of the "town" was the fabulous bakery which seemed to be open all hours and had the most amazing choice of bread and lovely things! It definitely wasn't worth the visit unfortunately

Beautiful charming house.
Beautiful charming house. Host was most welcoming even offering to prebook a local restaurant for our late arrival. Breakfast was outstanding with homemade jams, honey and yoghurts.
Well worth a return visit.

Guines was a large village that appeared to have most facilities travellers would need. It is within easy reach of Calais and the coast and although surrounded by agricultural land was pleasant. It is obviously a working village rather than a tourist trap, which we preferred. they are some nice walks available from the tourist office. Please be aware that it still tends to follow the custom of shops etc, being closed on a Monday

Guines (the town) is very quiet and not much going on but the site has great facilities. It’s very near Calais and both Wissant, with its fantastic beach, and St Omer are easy to reach, both lovely for days out. The Caps Griz and Blanc have wonderful views and are great for walks. The frites shack at Wissant is a treat!
Peaceful location so nice and quiet at night. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant staff were attentive and the meal was excellent, likewise the self-service breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of extras to the usual bread and croissant. Plus, of course, the hotel is so convenient for the Eurotunnel terminal.
The hotel setting is lovely with wonderful grounds to walk round, an outdoor pool (with cover) and various activities.
The breakfast was one of the best we had on our holiday. A great selection of food, fresh produce, buffet style.
We ate dinner at the restaurant onsite and enjoyed our meal.
The location of the hotel is good, especially for those walking the Via Francigena. The staff were responsive to our requests. They gave one of us a different room free of charge when it was brought to their attention the bed wouldn't work.
A wonderful place to stay near Calais …. we have used this hotel many times over the past few years and the same high standard remains…lovely
staff, rooms, and of course excellent cuisine. Thanks Auberge du Colombier.
